Clinical Study
We are pleased to announce that we are starting a cooperation with the Medical University of Graz. The MUG is supporting us in conducting an first clinical study. We will use the blood test results of around 2,700 patients to evaluate our AI-algorithms and test new approaches.
What is the study about?
There are basically two types of myocardial infarction (ACS): ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and non-ST-elevation ACS (NSTE-ACS). STEMI is relatively easy to diagnose by sharp chest pain and an ECG in combination with a conventional troponin test. Heart attacks without ST elevation (NSTE-ACS) pose a much greater challenge, as troponin tests often produce false results. This is where we come in: our AI algorithms do not use troponin, but other properties of the blood to detect whether a heart attack is present or not. We want to prove that our AI algorithm is significantly faster and more accurate than a troponin test.
